Railfuture is the UK's leading independent organisation campaigning for better rail services for passengers and freight. We are a voluntary group representing rail users, with 20,000 affiliated and individual members; all members have an equal say. Railfuture is not funded by train companies, political parties or trade unions. Elections are held annually among Railfuture members to choose the Board of Directors which governs Railfuture.
As we near the 70th anniversary year of our founding predecessor SRUBL (UK), we recall our proud history.
The North East Branch campaigs to improve and develop rail services in the North East of England.
